The famous politician of the Eastern Jin dynsty, Xie An with his nephews (among them the famous female talent Xie Daoyun) at a terrace in front of a snow-covered tree. Ink and colors on paper, mounted as a hanging scroll. Inscription with a poem, dedication, dating "in the early autumn of the guiyou year [1933]" and signature: "in the style of Xinluo (Hua Yan, 1682-1756), Meili Yishi Shi Zhen". An artist's seal: "Dingfu". A title lable with the date of acquisition (winter of yihai year [1935]) and an antique shop label.

Shi Zhen, courtesy name Dingfu, comes from Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. He stayed in Japan from 1911 to 1924. He is known for figure and flower painting attached - Minor signs of age
